With the museum session completed and a night of rest under our belts, we navigated our way back to the Addis Ababa Bole International airport for our flight to Arusha, Tanzania. The experience at the Addis airport was one of comedy. First, Pascal and Fiona had to retrieve confiscated binoculars and pay a holding fee. Second, some students received extra scrutiny during the security screening (they had been given GPS devices to bring to GMERC) while others (with the same GPS units) passed right through. And third, a ticketing fiasco took some time to resolve. Despite these issues, we still had plenty of time to get to our gate and await our flight to Arusha.
